Personalized coaching for parents of sensitive, spirited kids

Parenting a sensitive, strong-willed child isn’t something most people understand. One moment your child is explosive (shouting, melting down, or refusing everything). The next, they’re anxious, withdrawn, or completely shut down.

You're stuck trying to respond with patience and strength… but the more you try, the more it feels like nothing works. And the guilt of “messing it up” keeps piling on.

Without the right support, this cycle gets heavier.

The meltdowns grow louder. The disconnection deepens. And the constant overwhelm starts to wear down your confidence, your relationships, and your own emotional well-being.

You’re not failing. You’re parenting without a map—and I can help you change that.

Through personalized 1:1 coaching, I’ll help you:

  • Understand your child’s nervous system and what’s really driving their behavior

  • Build calm, confident leadership without yelling or second-guessing

  • Reconnect with your child in ways that feel real, doable, and healing for you both

Let’s find a rhythm that works for your family. Together.

What’s a Firecracker Kid?

Not sure if this is the right place for you? In this short video, I explain what I mean by "firecracker kids"—and why parenting them can feel so overwhelming, but also full of possibility. I’ll share the different ways firecracker kids show up and how I can help.

How Coaching Works
Getting started is simple:

Support that meets you where you are, emotionally and practically.
Parenting a child with big emotions is a nervous system workout. That’s why coaching with me is designed to feel grounding, not overwhelming. We move at a pace that works for your real life, and every step is built around connection, clarity, and calm leadership.

Here’s how we begin:

1. Book Your Free Consultation

Once you book, I’ll take care of the rest. You don’t need to prepare or worry about what to say, just come as you are.

During our call, I’ll guide you through a simple, powerful process to help you get clear on what’s happening in your family, what’s working, what’s not, and what you truly want. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, help uncover what’s getting in your way, and start identifying the patterns that matter most.

2. Get a Personalized Coaching Plan

Based on our conversation, I’ll create a plan tailored to your child’s needs and your emotional capacity. You’ll walk away with clear tools, practical strategies, and a step-by-step path that feels doable and aligned with your life.

If the plan feels right for you, we can talk about how to move forward together.

3. Build Calm, Confident Leadership, Step by Step
You don’t have to do this perfectly, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll walk with you through every hard moment and celebrate every small win. This work is simple, sustainable, and supportive because you’ll never have to figure it out on your own.

As we move through our sessions, I’ll guide you in applying what we discuss to real-life moments: bedtime battles, sibling fights, morning meltdowns, emotional shutdowns, and everything in between. You’ll leave each session with a clear focus, compassionate support, and specific tools to try.

By the end of our work together, you’ll feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to your child. You’ll have a roadmap you can return to again and again, one that fits your family and grows with you.

Is This Right for You?

This coaching is for you if…

  • You’re parenting a child who is sensitive, spirited, anxious, or emotionally intense

  • You’ve tried being calm, and you’ve tried being firm, but nothing seems to work for long

  • You often feel like you’re failing or losing your temper more than you want to

  • You crave more connection with your child, but you’re stuck in power struggles and guilt

  • You want clear, practical tools—without scripts, shame, or perfectionism

  • You’re open to growing alongside your child, with the right support by your side

  • You’re ready to lead your family with more calm, confidence, and compassion

This coaching might not be a fit if...

  • You’re looking for a quick fix without doing any inner work

  • You want someone to “fix” your child rather than understand them

  • You’re not open to exploring your own regulation and growth

And that’s okay. You deserve support that aligns with where you are right now.

Meet Your Coach
Hi, I’m Ingrid Smith, and I’ve spent decades helping children thrive, and supporting the parents who love them.

As a mom, stepmom, educator, and certified coach, I know the chaos that comes with raising a child who doesn’t fit the mold. I also know the guilt, the fear, and the deep desire to do better.

Over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of families through some of their hardest parenting moments. I draw from developmental psychology, neuroscience, and real-world experience to help you build more calm, more clarity, and more connection at home.

Because when parents feel supported, children can truly thrive.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

You don’t have to keep guessing what will work. You don’t have to keep second-guessing yourself, either.

Whether you’re deep in daily meltdowns or quietly struggling to stay connected with your child, coaching can give you the clarity, confidence, and calm you’ve been craving.

You’re not too late. You’re not too much. And you’re not alone.

Let’s talk about what’s really going on, and how I can help.
